Patient Information > Follow-up care
Additional treatment
We can provide additional treatment after the initial exam, such as X-rays, laboratory tests, or other medical procedures such as stitches, casting, or breathing treatments. Lab test results usually take 2 days. They will be called to your regular physician who will notify you of the results. X-rays are reviewed immediately by our physician. They are also read by our radiologist and the final results are sent to your physician for follow-up as needed.
Moving to a hospital or other medical facility
If you need hospitalization, we will make all arrangements for your admission to the hospital of your choice. Our physician will call the physician who will take over your care at the hospital. We will send or fax a copy of your records to the hospital, and notify your primary care physician. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible.
Follow-up care provided by us
We provide your physician with a summary of the care you've received, so he or she can follow up with you. At your physician's request, we can perform follow-up procedures (e.g., removal of stitches).
