David White - Chairman/Treasurer

Mr. White's professional focus has been geared toward building stronger provider relationships and identifying shared business opportunities for healthcare businesses. David has over fourteen years experience in health organization management and consulting.

David joined The Pinnacle Group in early 2003. Areas of expertise include new business development, health services valuation and financial analysis, healthcare market research (population based analysis), medical staff partnership planning, and physician practice management consulting. During the past three years, Mr. White has managed over two hundred FMV opinion letters.

David has assisted health systems, community hospitals, rural hospitals, specialty health service providers (i.e. renal dialysis), and single and multi-specialty medical groups across the country. He has worked with national health plans regarding provider contracting and medical management issues. He has written articles on strategies to increase net income and community need assessment and has lectured on "best practices", return on investment, Fair Market Value in Healthcare and developing successful hospital-physician partnerships.

Prior to joining Pinnacle, David was a healthcare consultant with Milliman USA and a co-founder of Physician and Hospital Solutions. He also served as the Director of Planning and Practice Management for Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California.

Christopher Rehm - Secretary/President/Executive Director

Mr. Rehm has enjoyed professional experiences encompassing business management, planning, consulting, marketing, auditing and education within various facets of the health care industry. In his thirteen years in the industry, he has managed or consulted with more than thirty healthcare organizations. Chris has been active in strategic and operational management, as well as payor and facility negotiations for numerous practices. He has facilitated practice mergers and implementations for more than twenty physician practices and clinics. Chris also works with a variety of physician groups and hospitals to develop programs to cover critical hospital-based physician services. He continues to consult on a wide variety of strategic and organizational initiatives for facilities and physician practices.

He focused on physician service projects including practice implementations, physician compensation plans and physician hospital financial relationships.

Upon completing his Master's Degrees, Chris joined the University of Missouri, facilitating the University's network development efforts, and managing the start-up for fourteen, newly acquired practices. Later, he left the University to join a large practice management and billing company, where he was responsible for operating 6 practices, throughout various states, and representing over 200 physicians. In 1998, Chris co-founded Pinnacle Physician Resource Group, where he continues to serve as the Executive Director.

Chris Roederer

Chris Roederer has over 27 years of senior human resources executive and corporate services experience, both in not-for-profit and for profit healthcare delivery and research systems. He has spent the majority of his career turning traditional HR departments into true service providers and partners with both management and staff.

Prior to joining City of Hope in February 2002, Roederer served four years at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida and four years with Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California. Between these two positions, he served as a senior consultant with Hay Management Consultants, primarily as an executive compensation practice leader throughout the United States. From the early 1980's until 1992, Roederer provided HR leadership to six Humana hospitals, the last being Sunrise Hospital, a 700 bed for-profit facility located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Roederer has a Master of Arts degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He originally is from Louisville, Kentucky.

Roederer provides HR administrative and corporate services oversight for all traditional HR services at City of Hope. In addition to HR, other areas of responsibility include Organizational Development and Education, Facilities/Engineering Management, Project Administration, Corporate Real Estate, Safety and Radiation Safety, Security, Environmental Services, Food and Nutrition, Volunteer Services and Retail Sales. His primary objective is to have City of Hope recognized as an "employer of choice", by enhancing current HR systems and quality of life benefits, reward programs and educational programs.

Kevin Smith

Mr. Smith is an innovative senior executive with extensive healthcare business experience who joined the AfterOurs Board of Directors in August of 2007. He has consistent record of success in finance, legal, merger and acquisition. From 1998 until the summer of 2007 Mr. Smith led Gambro, Inc. as its CEO. Gambro, Inc. is the US holding company for Gambro AB, a $2.0 billion revenue company headquartered in Stockholm. Prior to his time with Gambro, Mr, Smith was responsible for building the Entrepreneurial Services and Life Sciences practices of Arthur Young in the Denver area. The Clients he served in Denver included a number of well known and successful healthcare organizations.

Terry Peltes

Mr. Terry Peltes, President & CEO Certus Corporation, has just completed the turnaround and sale of a national hospital revenue cycle services company on behalf of its investor group. A turnaround specialist, speaker, and author on a range of business topics, Terri is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Illinois CPA Society (ISCPA), the Colorado Society of CPA's (CSCPA), the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), The Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and The Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA). He holds a Certificate in Corporate Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management, is a graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Executive Program for Growing Companies (EPGC), Michigan State University's, Simplified Strategic Planning Program, and a participant in the Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, Executive Scholars Program.

Mr. Peltes currently sits on the board of directors for several private companies and acts as an advisor to several others. He has also been interviewed for his ideas and business views by several prominent local and national publications.

James Conley

Jim Conley is currently President of Colorado Business Bank, NA, Denver Tech Center, which specializes in Healthcare lending and was the fastest growing bank in Colorado for many years. He has been part of Colorado Business Bank since the inception of the DTC bank in June 1998. Conley's client focus is the Denver health care community as he has extensive experience working with physicians in both the banking and hospital industries.

Mr. Conley was previously employed with HealthONE, Colorado's largest healthcare system, from 1990-1998 He also served as Vice President of HealthONE's Outreach Services from 1995-1998, where he was responsible for overseeing the generation of $180 million in revenue from patient care to the five HealthONE hospitals for patients who reside outside of metro Denver.

Prior to his time with HealthONE, Mr. Conley spent five years at United Bank of Denver as a Vice President of Private Banking where he provided financing and cash management services to the Denver health care community. He moved to Denver in May 1981 following graduation from Southern Illinois University.

Mr. Conley's volunteer posts include serving as 'House Manager' at the Ronald McDonald since 1988, as well as a Ronald McDonald House Board Member in the mid-90s. He currently serves on the board of the Colorado Chapter of Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and Rocky Mountain Youth Medical and Nursing Consultants, a non-profit organization that provides health care to children in Colorado regardless of ability to pay.

William Donohue

Mr. Donohue has been a Regional Director and Vice President of the Central Rocky Mountain Region for Ivy Funds Distributor Inc. since 2004. During his tenure, Mr. Donohue has raised over a quarter of billion dollars for the distribution arm of Ivy Funds, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waddell & Reed Inc.

Mr. Donohue has over 13 years of experience in the finance industry. Before coming to Ivy Funds, Bill worked in various departments at Oppenheimer Funds Inc. in their Denver offices. Starting in 1994 he serviced in the Operations, Fund Accounting and Sales departments. Prior to working at Oppenheimer Funds Inc. Bill worked as a retail stockbroker for the firm of Dickinson & Co. in there Boston, MA and Chicago, IL offices.

Mr. Donohue contributes to various charities and serves on the board of directors for Safehouse Denver. Through residential and non-residential services Safehouse Denver is committed to routing domestic violence on a local, state and national level.

John D. Slack, M.D.

Dr. Slack joined the AfterOurs advisory Board, having just completed six years as Chief Medical Officer of Colorado's most profitable and fastest growing health system, Memorial Health System (MHS) of Colorado Springs. During his tenure, revenue at MHS grew over 200%. His accomplishments at MHS include the addition of a state of the art, 100 bed satellite hospital, and implementation of a hospital wide electronic medical records system.

Prior to joining MHS, Dr. Slack was President of St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center, an 800 bed hospital, in Indianapolis, where he led up to 2200 physicians. He has also served as President of the Indianapolis Medical Society, President of Indianapolis' local American Heart Association, authored numerous articles for medical journals including the American Journal of Cardiology, and earned his Masters in Medical Management at Tulane University.
